Asger Juel Larsen demonstrated steady design development in his AW15 show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Gone were the contours of knights in armour and fantasy only to lend the stage to a modern man. With undivided masculinity the Juel guy cruised between an urban interpretation of the camouflage uniform and faux fur jackets in vivid colours.
Although the styles were characterised by subtle references thus giving the collection a broader appeal, Juel Larsen still challenges mainstream fashion with his mixture of materials and more daring pieces appealing to the most central trendsetters worldwide. The long leather coat with a broken gold surface as his last entrance worked like a peak after the many slender and wearable entries. Asger Juel Larsen is maturing – and developing a steady hand in the masculine interpretation.
