With a real chocolate bar as an invitation for the first fashion collection designed by Jeremy Scott, Moschino F/W 2014-15 catwalk presents itself as yummy, 90’s and pop inspired.
M stands for Moschino, although the reference to the world famous Mc Donald’s golden arches is clear and shouted: red matelassè bags with the yellow chain, models dressed as waiters and iPhone covers made of fashion fries.
Pop culture and junk food, Scott is very definitely American and at the end of the fashion show he pops out in a black and white t-shirt stating that he doesn’t speak Italian, but he does speak Moschino.
Those who think and wrote that the fashion collection was cheap, consumerist and ridiculous, should take a closer look and realize that it’s (just?) a new, fresh language to continue narrate a romantic, eternal love story.
