The Cesare Paciotti woman wears the creativity by IED Turin

The designers of the Istituto Europeo di Design plan sophisticated and home-made female suggestions for the future of the brand

There is a forward-looking and an international mood on the thesis project of the Three-year post-diploma Course in Design del Gioiello – Accessori a.y. ’11/12 of the Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin realized in collaboration with Cesare Paciotti. To the graduates it has been requested to imagine how the shoe, worn by the Cesare Paciotti woman who wants to be an international and modern-looking interpreter of the values of the brand, will be in the near future. This kind of woman has to be also an interpreter in shoes and jewels of a strong and sophisticated femininity.

Starting from the analysis of the key points of the brand, which is the worldwide leader in the luxury shoes market, the students worked on the design and creation of a concept of shoe earmarked for an international market. At the same time the concept had to reflect the identity and the typical hand-made look of a company made in Italy.

A second step of the project was carried out by Cesare Paciotti Jewels in cooperation with B.&P. distribution, which had regarded to the creation of a jewel for a woman characterized by the same appeal of the shoes but it had also to be able to spread the Paciotti femininity to a wide public. The project was carried out through an inspiration coming from some iconic faces of the fashion system, famous for their style, reproduced in a personal way. The final proposals have been both personal and contemporary following their own taste.

From here the birth of eleven concepts of shoes made by Cesare Paciotti which are characterized by high-heeled shoes and sensual details such as studs and precious stones or a double color of the leather – black and red – in a chukka boots branded. Five were instead the concepts of jewels for Cesare Paciotti Jewels such as a silver ring shaped as a cactus embellished with studs and swarovski or a black leather bracelet which rolled up the female arm as a snake. All the concept collection – both in the shoes and in the jewels – is characterized by a common detail which is the Cesare Paciotti ‘daga’, a symbol of a strong determination typical of the brand.

For the final realization of the project the Course relied on the professional support of Ubaldo Malvestiti and of the coordinator of the Course Daniela Bulgarelli for the creation of the jewels.
