IKNOWMONKI gets underway

Innovation and creativity from the youth of today

Monki, the brand new web magazine by a team of IED Research Centre professionals and students from the IED network, dedicated to creativity in all its forms (fashion, communication, design and visual arts), is online since March 30th.

Monki – Iknow when you look at it in the mirror – is the first editorial project that really allows young people to take control and express themselves. They will show that they can think critically and choose and describe an experience by themselves: not just a project dedicated to the youth of today, then, but one actually handled by them. Monki will become a unique diary of contemporary living, featuring daily articles on trends, lifestyle and innovation and packed with video, photo and text contents.

Videos will feature heavily: “Talent” will tell you all about some young success stories, “5 Rules” reveals the guiding principles behind creativity and “Top 5″ lists the hottest trends of the week.

Alessandro Rimassa, head of the IED Research Centre since October and Monki editor in chief, tells us more: “I think the publishing world was lacking a product that looks at creativity from every angle. IED has always published editorials and is a prominent cool hunter, so we decided to combine the experience of our students and staff to spread the word about design culture and share knowledge.”
