[IN_ITINERE] at Posti di Vista 9° – Ri Creazione
Fabbrica del Vapore – Via Procaccini 4, Milan
Opening: April 17th at 7.30 pm
From April 17th to 22nd, h 10 am – 9.30 pm
During the exhibition Salone del Mobile, FDVLAB proposes a wide-ranging programme of experimental and creative projects/events to be held at the Fabbica del Vapore site. They will interpret design in an unconventional and representative manner, looking specifically at the topic of RI-CREAZIONE (RE-CREATION), which can be defined as a process of revising ideas, objects and scenarios.
Posti di Vista will feature IN_ITINERE, an interactive exhibition by IED Milano and INVIDEO by aiace consisting of a number of multimedia displays, resulting from a special project developed by Media Design, Video Design and Sound Design students, coordinated by Davide Sgalippa, Paolo Solcia and Mery Gletz.
After the success of the previous editions, therefore of IN_EQUILIBRIO (on sustainable design) and IN_SENSIBILE (on “conscious” and responsible design), this year the “city” will be the main focus of the project and the multimedia displays. In other words, the way things were, the way things are and the way things will be; how we see Milan and how we would like it to be.
IN_ITINERE is to be thought of as a guide for visitors during Design Week, helping them along a virtual path through the city of Milan and allowing them to rethink their opinions and look at the city in a different light.
CITTÀ IDEALE//CITTÀ REALE
It focuses on Milan, contrasting the perfect city (which needs people to give it life, colour and sound) and the real city (which is to be found in the numerous lifeless buildings which echo with the stories of the people who have lived there over the years)
UPROOTED//
A trip back in time to an old neighbourhood of Milan, Via Paolo Sarpi (the new “China Town”). The voices of the people who live there will reveal a host of memories, almost as if they were your travel companions. They will evoke images of places which by now have been completely transformed. Projections of material from the archives will show the deep changes that the area has undergone and how it has evolved.
