Carlo Moretti – MAISON & OBJET Paris – 4/8 September 2015 Hall 7/ Stand J130 Carlo Moretti confirms its participation in MAISON & OBJET, 4 – 8 September at Paris Nord Villepinte. On this occasion Carlo Moretti will display the lamps from the 2015 Luce catalogue and present the collections from the new 2016/2017 Cristalli catalogue of decorative and tableware objects. The new Carlo Moretti designs offer additions to all the lines of this “artisan factory” with a variety of new shapes and colours. The iconic Bicchieri Bora and I Diversi from the Fondamentali series take on blue and white tones, once again celebrating the 54 decorative hot-applied motifs with their range of pipes, blots, stripes, rings, spirals, and transparent and glass paste colours. Anbel, Chica, Enson, Naran, Neroeter, Neronatro, Sonne are the 7 new Piccoli objects, the protagonists of the Collezioni d’autore: a series of over 30 small-size and exclusive limited-edition objects. New colours for the Sfera, Ogiva and Troncosfera vases, combining the transparency of the steel crystal with milk-white, grey and black tones delivering a sophisticated and modern elegance. Ellisse and Eclissi, two decorative objects with rich hot-applied glass paste colours create a distinctive design underlining the balance of their different chromatic components.

The Rossomoretti line sees the addition of new tableware: Bicchieri and Decanter Polaris. Crafted with the balloton technique, these items come in six different nuances, with playful and colourful transparencies and reflections highlighting their refracting surfaces. Bosco, inspired by the study of the Carlo Moretti archives, is a vase uniting the harmony of crystal and the glassmakers’ creativity in a multiple and mountable composition combining different sizes and nuances. Among the Contemponanei, the new Lumino and Lumina candleholders stand out for their remarkable design: oval shaped and mouth blown, they feature hand applied colour bands that with the transparency of the Murano Crystal makes them the perfect complement in every atmosphere. The new small size vase Sabbie, in Murano Crystal with paste colour in the background is designed as a single-flower vase, creating a simple alternative to a traditional centrepiece. The Le Diverse bowls take on the new nuances used for I Fondamentali, adding blue and white to the 18 established decorative motifs. The Cristalli di Murano section sees the addition of the Albali decanter that with a touch of refinement and style echoes the Carlo Moretti light production with its sinuous, mouth blown shapes with freehand finishings decorated with a spiral in transparent or steel crystal.

Besides its decorative object lines, Carlo Moretti is also presenting its new lighting contract project with a selection of lamps. Boblu reinterprets a light globe by combining the transparency of crystal and the glow of milk-white glass. A customizable system of suspended lights comprising a set of Murano Crystal spheres in three different sizes available in five different motifs. Efra, Quati, Igra, part of the Mito line, are table lamps originating from the combination of different geometries in an interpretation of the primary volumes. The light source is covered by milk-white glass, while the outside crystal shell diffuses light creating linear compositions supported by simple metal structures. From the same series is Drima, the freestanding lamp that combines slender and different height glass cylinders of transparent and opalescent quality, with discreet metal supports. Cilla is the reinterpretation of a Carlo Moretti traditional design. This lamp, part of the Dune series, so translucent and essential with its two transparent opalescent glass cylinders, combines lightness and texture in an evergreen design. Ovale, a table lamp part of the Isole line, is an example of lighting design interpreted in Murano Crystal: with its transparent or black opalescent base and a white glass lampshade, it creates a play of contrasting shiny and mat finishings. A double function for Led Polari and Led Nastrino from the Lumina line: vase and table lamp all in one, creating unique objects tying classic design and innovation, exalting the distinctive Carlo Moretti shapes while combining them with an aluminium LED lamp in the base.
