RIFT Collection

DARRAN is pleased to launch the RIFT Collection, a new, highly flexible, people-centered casegood system at NeoCon 2012.  Created by design industry superstar David Allan Pesso, RIFT was developed to meet the needs of the changing work environment.  Developed for DARRAN’s ‘Design Build’ platform, RIFT can support multitasking, focused individual work, knowledge sharing, and collaboration in both private offices and open spaces. The collection’s modern, linear and minimalist aesthetic was inspired by Mies Van der Rohe’s Seagram’s Building and the tenants found in the 20th C. International Style.  It places an emphasis on the honest and rational expression of materials and functionality.

RIFT was designed using Dfe [Design for the Environment] protocol to minimize the environmental impact.  In addition to low watt power consumption, long life LED task lighting and a hi recycled content, RIFT features ENVI-UT (Environmental Urethane Technology) a high-end furniture coating with superior performance in appearance and durability that meets today’s environmental standards, improves indoor air quality and assists with LEED requirements.

ABOUT DAVID ALLAN PESSO

Pesso is principal of the New Studio llc.  His work has garnered recognition and praise from all corners of the design world. He holds licenses for more than 300+ furniture designs, and has been awarded 18 design patents. He has been the subject of numerous feature articles in various trade magazines including Interior Design and Contract Magazine.  His designs have received industry awards, including IIDA, Design Journal ADEX, Best of NeoCon and the coveted Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design’s Good Design Award.
