This illustration was created for a charity called Pencils of promise. They will auction off this drawing in the next couple of months along with the pencil it was created with. They are also working with a selection of other high-profile designers, artists, writers and musicians who work in pencil to create individual pieces that they will auction off in an online gallery – each one building a school in a developing nation. Amongst others, we currently have Coldplay’s Chris Martin penning a musical piece, Dave Eggers writing a short story, Lea Michele creating a poem Pencils of promise is a foundation that builds schools in third world countries.
