OPMI® PENTERO® 900, the new high-end surgical microscope from Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, visualizes tissue and blood vessels in microsurgery. It combines maximum optical brilliance, innovative fluorescence technologies and high-definition (HD) video quality for greater detail.
The new design reflects the brand values of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG – Precision, Simplicity, Outcomes – and skillfully transports the expression of form embodied in its predecessor into modern times. Simple, slender contouring extends laterally throughout the entire system – from the HD touch screen to the entire front of the suspension system’s housing, underscoring the sophisticated look-and-feel and continuity of form conveyed by the unit. At the same time, these lateral elements perform functional roles. The curvatures projecting toward the front of the system invite the user to use them as handles for monitor alignment. Through the intelligent arrangement of the multi-joint monitor swivel arm, the monitor and the suspension system together form a compact entity and permit flexible and precise positioning.

The ergonomically shaped handle on the suspension system and the functional storage tray for accessory components are discreetly integrated into the overall avant-garde design of the system.

To ensure easy cleaning, all surfaces are exceptionally smooth and feature virtually no joints or seams. The enhancement of the front of the suspension system with an abrasion-resistant acrylic glass pane clearly emphasizes and highlights the premium quality of the overall system. The resulting impression of depth casts the logo and product name into prominence.
