First displayed in last years’ Monaco yacht show, Axioma was tremendously talked about due to an unbeatable 30% lower price when compared with others of the same category. First boat to be launched from the Turkish company Dunya Yachts it displays features that are generally reserved for larger boats and calls attention to a design that is extensively worked upon.
One interesting characteristic here is that the general layout of it is not at all conventional. Traditionally the guest areas, common shared areas like steam rooms, or suites, are located in lower decks leaving the main floor for larger spaces. In the Axioma the concept is inverted, and all these areas are brought up to the main deck, enabling the luxurious suites to have amazing panoramic views of the outside. Those rooms are decorated with different finishes and color schemes, and the main one even has its own private terrace.
In the Axioma you can either find comfortable private spaces as well as good spots to interact with other guests. The main saloon impresses with its ample space, luxurious decoration and its pleasant double deck. The exterior environment counts with 2 generously sized pools, spacious lounging space and dining areas.
Declaring that they wanted "all the luxury and none of the stillness of a five star hotel" they choose a rather bold approach: the design is said to be thought thorough to the smallest details resulting in a texture packed design with illumination details and vibrant color accents. They definitely avoided any minimalism here.
The Turkish shipyard's founder, Sedat Ergün, stated: "Axioma is a showcase of what Dunya Yachts brand can achieve." And he will have to keep up with his quality standards because they certainly made a hell of a big statement with this first launch.
