While it’s common knowledge that Rome was not built in a day, it is no overstatement to say that Dubai’s “overnight growth” and exceptional development has been impressive on a scale of proportions.
In a shockingly brief period, “the city built from sand” has put forth a number of unique projects and clever marketing strategies to create itself as an undeniably important point of reference on the global scale. Not to mention, the city’s incredible architectural developments continue to attract visitors and investors from around the world.

All of this has happened at a stupefying pace, semi-unaffected by such the reshaping of the global economy or the recent financial downturn. With an overwhelming amount of cash, an open-minded mentality and the “new vision” promoted by the city’s developers, Dubai had continually persisted on moving forward.

Having established a clientele of top engineers, cutting-edge architects and established designers, the city keeps itself at the forefront across all sectors. Modernity, however, can sometimes come at a cost, and in this case Dubai has often ignored historical techniques of elegance and refinement. Regardless, present day Dubai remains a buzzing hub of forward-thinking, slowly acquiring the maturity and knowledge provided by time and experience.

It is within this context of “re-styling” and visionaries that Design42day embarks on a new journey, introducing a vibrant and sexy creative force that will catch the attention of any fashion enthusiast today.

We are pleased to announce that D42D will be sponsoring an interior design project for a selected client. The internal space will be designed entirely by Zain Mustafa.
The space can be a restaurant, a hotel, a lounge, a bar, a club, a private house, or an office.

The client will be selected by quality standards of the proposed project.

Zain Mustafa is the founder and creative force behind ZAIN MUSTAFA Interiors, a design firm based in Dubai with the vision for and synergy with the region like none other.
After completing his extensive academic career at Boston University, Parsons School of Design (NYC) and Columbia University Zain embarked on a professional adventure that has covered academia, fashion design, art nstallations, publishing, corporate communications, web design and interior design. Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and North America, Zain’s creations are a hybrid manifestation of both hemispheres.

For his ability to design hotel interiors, public and private/retail spaces, F&B outlets, day-time restaurants, nightclubs/bars and lounge areas Zain and his creative ideas are frequently portrayed in the most important magazines, reviews of today’s design world.
