The cARTeL Launch – Dubai

March 1, 2013 - February 27, marked the launch of Dubai’s alternative shopping destination & experience – cARTeL. Giving over 30 international fashion designers the chance to showcase their exclusive items in a complex architectural space. These designers are curated from all over the world and are known for their unique one-of-a-kind fashion pieces and avant-garde clothing. Also dubbed as a “wearable art gallery”, cARTeL, has a dynamic interplay of black and white geometrical units which brings forward the fabulous array of fashionable and wearable items.

One of the event highlights was a fashion showcase featuring masterpieces from different collections which represents cARTeL innovative vision and experimental style. Some of the featured designers are Amber Feroz (UAE), Andy Wolf by Katharina Plattner (Austria), Anne Gorke (Germany), Anya Kamarek (UK), Aptform by Michael Gkinis(Japan)and a lot more making waves in the international fashion design scene. Complementing this pool of cARTeL fashion designers is Desert Fish Magazine, which is the UAE’s first and only conceptual magazine, and has paved the way on putting the UAE on the international map of contemporary publishing and quality fashion photography.
