Altaroma takes pleasure in welcoming prestigious and increasingly accessible Russian creativity to the Roman catwalks, supporting the opportunity of gaining even deeper insight into Eastern  European research and style by offering the designers themselves a chance to enrich their creative career paths.

Hence, Leonid Alexeev presented by AURORA FASHION WEEK Russia, thanks to a collaboration with the eponymous fashion week, will make his debut in Rome, a centre of avantgarde ideas. The Russian young designer of menswear and womenswear who plays on the de-structuring of all things classical and the pairing of sartorial garments with outré elements, will bring a bohemian style to the catwalks, featuring an aristocratic flavour and a touch of humour.

On the occasion of the 23rd edition of AltaRomAltaModa July 2013, Leonid will present his FW  2013-2014 womenswear collection inspired by the image of a woman caught in the rain. The full-bodied and shiny textures of jackets and coats are represented by long layers of undulating mohair, like shadows of wet roofs, asphalt and city dust that give Alexeev’s woman a fragile, romantic appearance. The lines of the collection nod at the Forties and menswear, featuring special 3D fabrics mixed with mink originating from Denmark
A new entry that testifies to the evolution of Russian creativity towards new geographic and  expressive frontiers and which Altaroma, ever-aware and ready to capture the stimuli of innovative creative skills, supports with enthusiasm.

For few years of its existence, AURORA FASHION WEEK Russia positioned itself as one of the key  fashion events not just in St. Petersburg but East Europe as well turning into the third largest Fashion Week  in this region.
