Layered dress from Marie Cunliffe

In her work, the young British designer Mary Cunliffe seeks to find a balance between the earth and air. To give the look an unexpected volume the designer is using deeply saturated textures and colours, and letting the entire weight of the fabric fall on the abundant folds and layers.
The key item of the collection - fabric with metallic thread through which Marie Cunliffe achieves desired shapes. Intricate interactions between the volumetric surface and light cause the distinguishable contours of the dresses.
