Iniala Beach House by A-cero architects

Ever thought of a vacation in Thailand? The A-cero Architectural Studio just finished designing a new villa for the Iniala Beach House exclusive hotel in Phuket: trust me, it’s worth checking it out!

The concept of this hotel, located in the bucolic coast area of Natai Beach in Phuket, is very interesting as it combines an amazing natural environment with high design standards. Vast sands beaches and turquoise blue water surround the luxurious complex of 10 villas designed by different well-known international architectural firms. A-cero was hired for the interior of two rooms on one of the villas (the Villa Bianca), the restaurant of the hotel (Aziamendi) as well as the exterior chill out area where you can enjoy the amazing surroundings.

The two rooms are located in two shell shaped bungalows facing the seafront and sharing a swimming pool. To break all these similarities, the duo of architects decided to create the opposite effect with the interior: one is based on the play with vertical lines, while the other is defined by horizontal curves. Both the rooms are made out of a local wood, but here again the dark versus the light colored wood is used in opposite positions to differentiate the interiors.

The restaurant was not less of a challenge: to better plan the space, the A-cero group decided to involve the recognized three Michelin stars chef Eneko Atxa in the designing process. The dining room is designed to accommodate the 70 guests of the hotel and to maximize their experience: Joaquín Torres and Rafael Llamazares, the brains behind A-cero, designed the whole space starting from floor and ceiling (here recalling thanks the use of curved panels of local wood the shapes of the waves that can be seen through all the walls), to the tables (accommodating from two people onwards thanks to their modular structure).

The exterior area, which complements the restaurants style by using the same tables, designed by the duo and the same Planter chairs from Knoll (in the restaurant upholstered with green velvet; here with waterproof leather) with colors recalling the surrounding panorama, is of course no less impressive then the rest of this exquisite resort.
