Upgraded and perfected is macramé technique used by Sérgio J. Matos in his avant-garde designs. In September 2013 he presented the Caçuá collection with an armchair and now added a sofa to it. Elegant metal construction is covered with delicate red threads that give a charming bouncy effect.
The name of this collection comes from the wicker baskets made from willow to carry and keep wine. In northern parts of Brazil dogs are taught to carry these baskets.
Sérgio J. Matos believes that there is nothing more fascinating than observe day-to-day live and discover the variety of Brazilian traditions. In search for inspiration for his new projects the designer visits local markets.
