Kodewa’s new prototype is going for a revolution: for the first time in the history of two-wheelers the company has designed a motorcycle to bear the legendary Lotus brand, licensed to Kodewa directly by Group Lotus plc.
The C-01 joins ample power via a V-twin engine together with the distinctive body that was designed by Daniel Simon. The materials are great: carbon fiber, titanium and aerospace quality steel. The end result - a unique high performance bike - was obtained in collaboration between motorsport veterans under the leadership of Kodewa’s leader Dr. Colin Kolles.
The C-01’s characteristics are truly impressive: a 2-cylinder 4-stroke engine (75° V-style), a capacity of 1195 cm3 and a power of approximately 200 HP. The transmission tool is a 6-gear jaw-type transmission assembled with a Hydraulic anti-hopping clutch.
This piece of art will be available in a range of liveries some of which pay homage to the Lotus’ sporting pedigree. The vehicle can also be personalized, a customization which is limited only by the imagination of the client. With an exclusive production run of just 100 units, superbike collectors and fans of the brand will need to move fast to secure one.
Commenting on the C-01, Günther Holzer, CEO of Holzer Group said: “I was one of the first people to ride it and I have to say I was very impressed. Together we have found that delicate balance between raw, aggressive power and breath-taking handling. The team has created something very special, it looks incredible, it sounds fantastic but above all, the ride is sensational. I’m very happy.”
