Forget about horsepower because the only way to hit the road is on one of these bikes! Designer Paul Guerin and wood craftsmen Till Breitfuss teamed up to create two extraordinary bicycles for the brand Keim. The bikes recently wowed the crowd at the 2014 Sustainable Luxury Show in Paris and didn’t leave us indifferent, either.
Custom-made bikes Alérion and Arvak are carved out of epoxy and wood and feature top-notch technical components as well as Corima carbon wheels. And while both bikes guarantee quality and performance, the two differ when it comes to the aesthetic approach. Arvak is the minimalist, simple and clean-lined, the result of designers’ quest for the “perfect bicycle”. Alérion, on the other hand, is the dreamer with subtle feathers embellishing the simple wooden frame that blurs the line between sculpture and a vehicle. So, which one are you taking out for a spin?
