FUJAIRAH, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Nestled on a picturesque beach in Fujairah, UAE, Steki, meaning ‘hangout place for friends’ in Greek, is a captivating new restaurant that gazes upon the vast Indian Ocean. Drawing inspiration from the natural and organic forms found in marine life and the gentle movement of water around coastal islands, Steki’s interior is a testament to the harmonious fusion of its surroundings and Greek culinary traditions.

A Symbiotic Connection:

The chosen location of Fujairah bears striking resemblances to Greece, particularly in their marine ecosystems. This connection is beautifully depicted in the bespoke decorative floor, showcasing illustrations of marine life. Just like the coastal alcoves that meander around undulating mountainous islands, both Fujairah and Greece share organic coastal elements that inspire the restaurant’s design. Softened pink hues, reminiscent of sunrise and the traditional Cyclades houses, adorn the walls, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.

Flowing Curves:

The restaurant’s curvaceous floorplan mirrors the graceful movement of fish and water around coastal islands in both Fujairah and Greece. From the moment patrons step inside, they are immersed in an environment where not a single straight surface can be found. The walls were sketched directly onto the floor during the construction phase, transforming the entire space into a captivating illustration. To complement the intricate walling, great care was taken in crafting a sinuous and organic sofa, seamlessly following the contours of the complex design.

Intimacy and Glamour United:

Steki successfully blends intimacy with glamour, providing local residents with a comfortable retreat while indulging in premium cuisine. The venue has been meticulously designed to offer a welcoming ambiance where friends can gather and savor the delights of Greek culinary traditions. The attention to detail and the thoughtful integration of marine-inspired elements create an atmosphere that immerses diners in a captivating coastal haven.

Steki, the inviting restaurant nestled along the shores of Fujairah, captures the essence of marine life and the allure of Greek cuisine. By seamlessly merging natural and organic design elements with the coastal surroundings, the interior becomes a testament to the beauty of the ocean. With its flowing curves, bespoke decorative floor, and warm ambiance, Steki invites guests to experience a harmonious blend of intimacy and glamour while indulging in exquisite cuisine.
