SÃO FRANCISCO DE PAULA, BRAZIL

Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscape of São Francisco de Paula, in the 7Campos de Clima Serra region of Rio Grande do Sul, the Tree House stands as a testament to architectural ingenuity and a deep reverence for nature. Part of the NaCarapina accommodation complex, this 50m² abode, built in 2022, seamlessly coexists with the surrounding Araucaria trees, creating an enchanting retreat that offers guests the sensation of floating within a lush forest. Designed by visionary architects, this remarkable treehouse exemplifies the perfect fusion of modern design aesthetics and natural splendor.

The location chosen for the Tree House within the NaCarapina complex is nothing short of extraordinary. Situated on a mountainside where the vast open fields meet the captivating Atlantic Forest, it offers a unique blend of ecosystems. The owner’s choice of this site was driven by the region’s diversity, the abundance of different species, and its rich water resources. The Tree House, perched amongst the towering trees, brings guests closer to nature, making it an ideal escape for those seeking solace and inspiration.

What immediately strikes visitors is the Tree House’s striking exterior. Entirely enveloped in cider eucalyptus wood, adorned with a deep black stain, it radiates an aura of elegance and tranquility. This choice of wood, although heavier, blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings, making the structure appear as if it has always been a part of the forest. The dark exterior contrasts beautifully with the light and airy interior, a deliberate design choice that creates a captivating visual dichotomy.

Upon stepping inside, guests are welcomed into a space that exudes minimalist Scandinavian charm. The interior is adorned with marine plywood, a pine that pays homage to the simplicity and sophistication of Scandinavian architecture. This design approach harmonizes with the forest’s natural beauty, creating an atmosphere of serenity and sophistication.

The Tree House is divided into an open-concept living space that seamlessly combines the kitchen and living room. This design allows for uninterrupted views of the forest, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living. A cozy mezzanine bedroom offers a private and tranquil space for relaxation. However, the pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the expansive balcony that extends into the forest. Crafted from the same eucalyptus wood, this balcony doubles as a bench, offering guests a front-row seat to the wonders of nature. Whether it’s basking in the warm sunlight during summer or cozying up by the wood-burning stove in winter, this space promises comfort and enjoyment throughout the seasons.

The Tree House at NaCarapina accommodation complex is a design marvel that pays homage to its natural surroundings while offering a luxurious escape for those seeking to reconnect with nature. Its unique blend of materials, the striking contrast between its dark exterior and light interior, and its thoughtful integration with the forest make it a true gem in the realm of architectural innovation. As guests step inside, they embark on a journey of serenity, sophistication, and immersion in the beauty of the Rio Grande do Sul mountains. In the Tree House, one finds not just a place to stay but an experience that celebrates the profound connection between architecture and nature.
