BRAZIL
As per the architects’ vision, this stunning residence is situated on a picturesque plot of land overlooking the ocean, surrounded by the verdant Atlantic Forest.

The design sought to create a sense of floating above the vegetation, achieved through the use of four-meter-high wooden-clad metal fins, anchored to an “L” shaped metal framework fixed to the concrete beams on the façade.

In addition to this, the floor plan was carefully organized to accommodate the bedrooms on the lower level, boasting generous windows and balconies that offer breathtaking views of the forest.

Spread over two sub-levels, the first floor is home to the guest suite and office, while the second floor houses the other suites. Beneath these areas lie the wellness and relaxation spaces, including the spa, sauna, and gym.

The social area is located on the intermediate floor, at the height of the treetops, and features a living room that blends seamlessly into the gourmet area and terrace, complete with a swimming pool, thereby enhancing the feeling of being immersed in nature.

On the upper floor, a balcony affords a panoramic 180-degree view of the ocean and a refreshing breeze that combines the salty sea air with the scent of the surrounding vegetation.

Natural stone and wood were chosen to harmonize with the surrounding landscape while providing a contrast to the lush greenery. The façade features an irregular stone cladding, while the interiors showcase Arthur Casas’s signature furniture pieces, such as the Fusca sofa, Quilombo desk, and coffee table square.
