Spordtgebouw by NL Architects

NL Architects from Netherlands have design sport centre Spordtgebouw of 3 climbing wall halls with 3-dimensional shapes and transparent wall fragments on the facade. The Spordtgebouw sport centre building looks like a trivial box with an original concept, significant from a modern architectural standpoint.
Large, medium and small climbing halls are located on different height levels of building. This steel contraption has become the new logo of Dordrecht.
During the design process, the architects from NL Architects studio came up with an unusual solution for spatial volume climbing halls, which were not originally planned by the customer, but when the studio won the competition for the project, they started to look for partners.
The Spordtgebouw is home to three specialized sport schools, which now complement each other. Sport halls are designed so that they could be transformed and used for various kinds of sports.
