Table Sereno by studio Fredrikson Stallard

The British studio Fredrikson Stallard designers work often raises topics about the interpenetration of material and non-standard symmetry and there is no exception with the table Sereno created for Italian brand Driade. From the beginning, to develop the prototype for future forms designers used pieces of broken glass, and in the finished design piece you can still see the similarities.
Steel "stones" polished to a mirror surface pass through the tabletop in three places which serves as a legs for whole contraction. Despite its fragile appearance, the table maintains the perfect balance.
In this table "Sereno" Patrik Fredrikson and Ian Stallard tried to embody the sense of calm and solitude, a person experiences, by remaining alone with nature.
