After the day-to-day hustle and bustle of the Gangnam district in Seoul, the Hyundai Card holders can slow down and pay a visit to the newly opened Travel Library. The space includes a café where customers can discover some of the most remote destinations, plan their next vacation and purchase plane tickets.
Nearly 15,000 books about travel, art and architecture are neatly organized and placed on the polished shelves that run almost the entire length of the walls. There is an enviable comprehensive collection of the National Geographic magazines, copies of the Imago Mundi journals, several globes and a flight board. For the most part, the ceiling is covered with the geometric wooden structure reminiscent of empty bookcases. They would also be filled with inspiring pages if the gravity was suddenly turned off, no doubt about it. Furthermore, for the purpose of the theme, in one room the ceiling is decorated with the models of airplanes facing the four cardinal directions.
To complete the experience, the busy globetrotters can relax on the most diverse models of chairs collected from around the world. Visitors can enjoy the two levels of the selected travel literature, which were connected by the zigzag staircase.
