Wine tasting was taken to a whole new level when Alvaro Uribe Design presented their new concept. Suitably named Tipsy, the glass provides an extraordinary degustation experience.
The head part is slanting forward, just enough for the assessment of look, smell and taste, without the fear that one will spill the “precious nectar”. The slope allows you to evaluate the colour without tilting the entire glass. Moreover, due to its unique shape, it provides easier access to the enchanting smell and flavour of the drink, and you almost get the feeling that the wine is looking at you.
The product is made of crystal glass and stands out as a coveted collectible piece for any sommelier, enthusiast or anyone who appreciates good industrial design.
Alvaro Uribe is an industrial designer and founder of his namesake New York based studio focused on furniture, lifestyle and fashion, table top, packaging and lighting.
