In our increasingly urbanised society, we want our pets to live healthy and comfortably. As most cat owners know, their feline companions can be very peculiar about physical artifacts and cats often pick places and artifacts that are also human favourites, for example you favourite slippers or sweater.
The Bbung-A House design from Pote Design by the Korean designer Sang Nam-Park may be an excellent alternative for cats that like to have partially enclosed shelters and protection, while still feeling closeness to their humans and connection with the wider environment. The soft cushion, available in chequered red/white or blue/white, easy-to-wash textile provides for comfortable support for feline snoozing and relaxation. The general structure is in the shape of a fish, which is a humorous approach, especially if your cat is named Jonah, or, since most cats like to eat tuna. The outer structure is made of interlocking birch plywood, which means that the Bbung-A House can be shipped as a flat-pack. As the outer wooden structure is an open lattice, both good ventilation and partial shelter is catered for. It is also easy to clean. If your cat doesn’t like the Bbung-A House as a bed, you may find it to be an interesting and complex scratch pole.
The Bbung-A House may also be suitable for small dogs.
