Designers' Nest - Cover

Mathilde Maalouf looks young, clever and extremely Danish.

With a passion for art and architecture that is a sort of inspiration and a recent degree at Kolding School of Design, Maalouf has been awarded with the prestigious Designers' Nest Show & Award SS14, which took place during the last Copenhagen Fashion Week and whose result was an interesting collective show.

Designer's Nest Award was created in 2003 as an international platform for Nordic design graduates to show their talent and to reward a particularly promising design-student. This year, the choice fell on a collection inspired to Finn Juhl’s house and his aesthetical universe, a leading figure in the creation of Danish design, with an outstanding attention to fabrics and a declared appreciation of clean and minimalistic silhouettes (and armchairs).
