Quattromani

Finalist of the Ninth edition of “Who Is On Next?” scouting project promoted by the alliance Altaroma-Vogue Italia, the new duo Quattromani seems to be predestined to a brilliant future in the fashion sphere.
Born as a professional marriage between Massimo Noli and Nicola Frau, Quattromani has been immediately noticed for its peculiar search for innovativeness, as well as the unpredictability of ideas proposed on the catwalk. Linearity of shapes lead the way, but there is the constant attention for unusual details, as well as the innovative mixture of materials and style; the main trait to catch the attention of sector experts, who have included the FW 14 collection in the “most notable” elite at this “Who Is On Next?” edition.
Hard to say what is more breathtaking: the contraposition between minimalism in traits and complexity in the whole outfits, or the winning coupling of way different fabrics. One thing is for sure: the capsule collection is a great celebration of mix-and-match style, with latex well amalgamated with light cotton, to name only one example. A constant and noticeable characteristic of the whole collection is the building up of an architectural silhouette, which is severe and minimal, covered by loud jackets, hyper-coloured shoes and iconic accessories.
Every outfit is a fight between gravity of neutral basic tonalities, and brightness of brilliant complements and accessories. An expert’s eye would immediately notice the undeniable touch by Alcantara, together with whom the duo realised a collaboration for this collection: laminated mesh cocktail dresses, mini-bombers, overcoats and sporty sweatshirts featuring the unusual Muridae print, are only some instances of this brilliant touch inspired by sculptures of Katharina Fritsch.
Quattromani is not only a gaze into the future of fashion, but it’s a proof: a proof that Italian fashion designers still have a lot to say.
