With a real chocolate bar as an invitation for the first collection designed by Jeremy Scott, Moschino fall winter 2014/15 catwalk presents itself as yummy, 90’s and pop inspired.
M stands for Moschino, although the reference to the world famous Mc Donald’s golden arches is clear and shouted: red matelassè bags with the yellow chain, models dressed as waiters and I Phone covers made of fashion fries.
Pop culture and junk food, Scott is very definitely American and at the end of the show he pops out in a black and white t-shirt stating that he doesn’t speak Italian, but he does speak Moschino.
Those who think and wrote that the collection was cheap, consumerist and ridiculous, should take a closer look and realize that it’s (just?) a new, fresh language to continue narrate a romantic, eternal love story.
