The story behind Jule Waibel’s collection, Raised, is a story of the ever transforming world that we live in. The designer translated her vision into an array of light-as-a-feather, fragile, structured dresses. Her idea was to use simple materials and create three-dimensional objects by using the origami folding method. Leave it to super talented Waibel to make it work! The result of carefully pleating Tyvek paper and whisper-thin chiffon is an array of playful, translucent dresse, presented in powder pink and black, that consist of delicate geometrical shapes. These dresses are designed not only to captivate the eye, but to also allow absolute freedom of motion. The light construction lets the dress shift with your body as one, following your every move. It truly is a redefined body hugging dress.
Jule Waibel is a German designer, Royal College of Art graduate, based in London and Stuttgart. Her works rose to fame after being exhibited in Bershka fashion stores around the globe.
