From the day one Merah Putih Restaurant was expected to become a star of haute cuisine on Bali. Architects from Inspiral Architecture and Design studios added Indonesian twist to the sophisticated luxury combining traits of the two cultures and eras: modern European class with Asian traditional forms and materials.
Endless ceilings and high columns in a form of palm tree transform the restaurant into a Gothic cathedral that at the same time is an Asian temple, thanks to the abundance of plants and tree as the main material.
Ecological part of design is similarly well thought. Gigantic windows allow to use only natural light during the day, and the rainwater of a decorative waterfall is filtered and reused.
