Jenn Lee

We are all trying to create our own little world within the rapidly changing society we live in. Guided by this idea, Jenn Lee has been inspired by the pursuit of balance between any two extremes and, consequently, she has created her own increscent creative universe.
The designer’s autumn/winter 2013 collection represents the philosophy of the constant struggle between restraint and desire to break away. The line-up consists of black pieces of clothing, which, when combined, asymmetrically cover one’s body. For instance, the bold bandeaus are immaculately juxtaposed with statement midi skirts with uneven waistlines and avant-garde below-knee slits. In the same way, the designer proposed the mix of a V-neck crop top and a long polka dot skirt. Apart from the elegant floor-sweeping gowns, blouses with shoulder cut-outs and cut off Bermuda shorts, this winter offering features several jackets and coats.
That being said, the garments in the collection range from the shorter ones with side zippers to the more massive ones with a couple of wide belts that symbolically complete the whole unleashing concept.
Jenn Lee is a Taiwanese fashion designer based in London. She graduated from the London College of Fashion in 2011 and afterwards interned at Alexander McQueen under Gucci Group. Her namesake label was established in 2012 and her collections are produced in her home country Taiwan.
