Paco Camús is a multidisciplinary designer showing design sensitivity and deep insight at all levels. He is based in Valencia in Spain. He originally studied industrial design and in the 1980’s he ventured into drawing comics, but has since covered a vast range of creative disciplines such as graphics, illustration, architecture, poetry, painting, photography and performance.
His range of furniture in the "Paco Camús Private Collection" shows a careful choice of natural materials that use the very fibres and grain interplaying with shape and structure, while function is naturally implicit in chairs, tables, desks, drawers, etc. American walnut wood is the dominant material used, but you will also find some alabaster and contrasts made of brushed aluminium. The visual attractiveness of his designs create and anticipation of pleasure if you could touch or stroke the surfaces and follow the shapes with your hand.
His style is personal and unique. It could possibly be labelled contemporary classic due to its timelessness. Many of the works have sculptural qualities that draw upon inspiration from nature, in particular an appreciation of hints of female form.
Each piece of furniture is skilfully made to the highest standard of craftsmanship, while also using the best high-tech tools where appropriate. His designs are showcased and sold worldwide through a network of agents and representatives.
