BeCarousell

Whether you call it tough feminity or sweet roughness, latvian BeCarousell’s proposal for SS14 settled on light fabrics romanced by leather trimmed collars. Or all the way around.

Clean and fresh faced models showcased strength and fortitude in a collection where leather takes center stage and a controlling neutral palette is surprised by unexpected pieces colored in mint or indigo. In an idealistic and romantic rock’n’roll kind of way, sleeveless leather outerwear with triangle single revers wore blushed pastels and light and lighter greys, featuring a geometrical, linear and young allure to it. And the one lapel leather trench coat: a nude showstopper, slightly avant garde, definitely simple yet refreshing. Sandy pastel silks and light cottons were graced by leather trims and gave form to contemporary girly dresses, giving a very european rebel twist to the softness of the floaty fabrics.

Loyal to her perseverent aesthetic, Dace Krieviņa-Bahmane gave once again way to natural fabrics, such as silk, leather and cotton, and a romantic touch to the individual style was given through barely there prints and romantic embroidery.
